GPU

GPU – They are programmed Processing units exclusively designed to contribute display functions. They are efficient in enhancing the images, videos and animations for a specific display device. They are usually embedded in the motherboard. Some computers come with dedicated port for GPUs’ to facilitate upgradation.

They are highly useful during gaming and rendering High Definition videos. The screen must undergo changes quickly and the transition must be crisp and accurate. They are taken care by the GPU. Benchmark softwares rate the GPUs’ by comparing their efficiency of delivering the graphical content to display.

While CPU take care of processing the information, GPU is responsible to represent them to the users at the screen end. Hence it is a notable qualification for a device quality.
